Jesse, the founder, has worn a lot of hats over the years: surveyor, youth worker, small business owner, single parent. None of those jobs had much in common on paper, but they all taught the same thing: how to show up, figure it out, and connect with real people.
Born in the pond world.
That foundation eventually collided with the pond and water feature industry, one of the most passionate, community-driven niches on the internet.
Helping those businesses find their voice online clicked immediately. Blank Canvas Media grew from there into a full-service content and social media consultancy for small businesses that have a great story and just need the right person to help tell it.
The mission is simple: clear the noise, find the story, and build something worth following.
Hey, I'm Jesse.
I didn't start out in marketing. I started out making custom decals out of necessity. You need something, you figure out how to make it, and then other people want it too.
That grew into screen printing, and screen printing opened the door to the bigger question: how do small businesses actually get seen? Chasing that question led me here, and I haven't looked back.
When I'm not building content strategies or writing blogs, emails, and captions, I'm in the middle of a creative project, usually something involving a camera, a weird idea, and way too much enthusiasm. I make YouTube content, I've got a horror film in the works, and I run a handmade soap business out of convention booths on weekends.
I'm also a single parent, which means I know what it looks like to juggle a business around a real life with real demands.
